BEE x GRIZZLY Pups - Born 12/10/04
Week Five

Each week, we add another set of mug shots & candids -
stay tuned and watch them grow!

APOLOGIES:  The camera went wonko tonight before mug shots could be taken.
Oh no! Puppies but no camera? A horror to be solved very soon.

Is the milk bar getting smaller?

Or are the customers at the milk bar getting bigger? Bee's thankful they're eating solid food 3-4x daily, but she'll nurse them right up until they leave for their new homes (though mostly token drinks by time they're 7 weeks or so).

View from the Goodyear blimp

Soon, the camera is going to have to be against the ceiling to try to fit them all in the shot. When the milk bar's closed, the puppies' favorite restaurant The Big Round Pan is often open.

Yummmmm...

Ah, the delights of bones!

What's a Bird in the box worth?

Aunt Bird thinks little pups are vaguely interesting, but once they hit 4+ weeks, she steps in to play with & educate the little beasts. Comfy in the whelping box, she watches the pups napping.

Many teachers

The team of "teachers" take turns educating the pups and playing with them. Here, Ruby has fun with Marcie while Wavy looks on.

Cricket sleeping

What a sweet puppy this is - even when she's awake. Love to snuggle, and tries to put up with her hooligan brothers. Mellow, determined, and cute as - well, a bug!

Cubby

Cubby plays hard, laughs a lot, adores people, is afraid of nothing, and may give someone a lot of grey hair. Would probably make an awesome working dog - he's a riot! Always one of the last to fall asleep.

Gregor

This pup is a crack up, and a busy boy. Smart, funny & determined. His person is going to have to be at least as smart & quick as he is. This pup has stuff to do, and we're quite sure he's going to do it very, very well indeed.

Marcie

Affectionate, smart, funny - this is a lovely pup! She's just a wonderful balance of all qualities, with a streak of spunk that keeps her brothers from using her as a chew toy.

Disgruntled Monk

Could a celebrity stalked by the paparazzi look any more disgruntled? He better get used to it. He's so gorgeous strangers will ask for a photo of him! Sweet & mellow but with great strength & intent. Cool combo.

Wavy Gravy Man

This puppy waves a lot. A lot! He thinks it's very funny, and it's his answer to lots of questions and situations. When in doubt, wave. You think he took hints from the Queen of England. He's smart, tough, determined and wickedly funny.

What? I'm a working dog?

Wavy Gravy Man contemplates the meaning of work and farm tools. This is a new concept to him - work?

I can handle this!

Wavy discovers that if you are management material, you can just ride around in the wheelbarrow, which isn't hard work at all.

Clean puppies

Along with Bee & Rain, Ruby makes sure that all puppies are spotlessly clean at all times. Even when they're asleep. Maybe she worries they're dreaming about mud.

Wavy & Cubby

Just a pile of puppies, which the puppies think can be improved by inserting one or more humans.

Three Way Grab

Rain grabs Cubby, while Cubby bites her eyebrow and Marcie in the background latches onto an ear.

Tunnels start early around here

By time they get to puppy kindergarten and are "introduced" to tunnels, our puppies are rather bored - been there, done that, been doing it practically since we could walk.

Let the games continue

Every day the pups find new ways to torture each other - ambushes, grabbing feet or tail or ears, pouncing, and all with considerable sound effects!

Who's Your Momma?

With three content "mothers" watching over them, the pups nap, apparently unworried that a casual onlooker would wonder who their momma is. (Bee's less than girlish figure right now is the tip off - think black & tan dairy cow!)
