FROM BARN FIRE to BARN OF JOY:  St. Patrick's Day 2004, our barn burned to the ground, taking with it our beloved pig Charlotte, turkey Mabel, cats Dudley & Jessie and many chickens and turkeys did not escape. ( Please click here for details. The incredible outpouring of support from all directions has humbled and staggered us - we are truly blessed.  The new barn that stands now is the barn that love built, and includes a room for seminars & training so that the love that made this possible can be passed along for years to come.  Thank you for your support & patience during this difficult time. - Suzanne & John

A DOGGONE GOOD WEDDING!
Suzanne Clothier & John Rice tie the knot - 5/12/95

It was a bit difficult for bride & groom to even contact each other, thanks
to the 7 dogs participating in the ceremony. Carson (off to the left of John
with her back turned) was 5 days from delivering her last litter. John's retired
Police K-9/Search & Rescue Golden, Molson, isn't feeling too well - just
before the ceremony she ate 1/5th of the wedding cake (in fact, she ate John's
name right off the cake, a sign we chose to ignore!). Fortunately, she waited until
AFTER the ceremony to lighten the delicious load in her tummy.
The bride did NOT carry a bouquet, but she did use hand signals!
