In an increasingly fast paced & modernized world, the typical consumer has lost connection with the farmers, land & animals that provide for their daily meals.   And as big business farms push for greater production at a lower cost, the land and animals have suffered.  More chemicals, antibiotics, pesticides & growth hormones are needed to keep plants and animals producing under very unnatural conditions. The lives of food animals are often miserable ones without the honor or respect they deserve.  As a result, the quality of our food has suffered, small farmers have been pushed out of business, and food animals have led miserable lives.

At Hawks Hunt Farm, we believe it is possible to farm in balance with Nature and her rhythms, to produce healthy, wholesome food without the use of chemicals, antibiotics or unnatural conditions, and to treat food animals with respect & honor. Our "Honored Life" approach means that we work hard to treat every animal with love, respect and honor during their lives. The result is our "Honored Life" beef, pork and poultry. We take stewardship of the land & our animals very seriously, and work to farm using sustainable agricultural practices.

Consumers concerned about the quality of their food are increasingly seeking sources they can trust to provide all natural, chemical free & humanely raised foods. Farmers need to make a reasonable living providing these foods so that they & their farms can continue to thrive. When consumers and farmers connect directly, we all benefit.

We also believe there is a spiritual need for consumers to connect with the source of the foods that sustain their lives.  It is one thing to eat a roasted chicken; it is another to have clearly in your mind's eye the green fields and peaceful setting that shaped that bird's life. We feel it is also important that you know that each animal's life was honored.  It is one thing to write a check to a supermarket, unsure just how many of those dollars will trickle their way back to the farmer.  Or you can sit & chat with us over a cup of coffee, walk through our lovely fields & woods, and feel good about supporting a particular farm and the dreams of two caring farmers.

Subscription Farming is an approach that allows farmers and consumers to connect on a direct basis.  Very simply, you order the chickens, turkeys, pork and/or beef that your family wants. You are guaranteed incredibly fresh, naturally raised meats with a taste you cannot believe. In turn, we produce only what our customers need, and are able to plan how best to use our time & resources.

Our current schedule is very hectic (see Suzanne's seminar schedule for an idea of why!), so we are strictly limiting the number of poultry we raise each year to one batch of chickens, and one batch of turkeys (ready for Thanksgiving & Christmas.)  Very limited availability of chicken each year; turkeys are available - please call early to reserve yours.

All orders require a 50% deposit when you place your order.  This is calculated on the estimated total.   Since weights of poultry & beef can vary, your final balance due is calculated when the actual products are accurately weighed.  The balance is due when you pick up your order at Hawks Hunt Farm on scheduled pickup days.  All "Honored Life" beef and poultry is limited - make your plans early!

Hawks Hunt Farm is an easy & very pleasant drive from just about anywhere.  Located just 20 minutes from the NYS Thruway, and situated in a very private & beautiful spot, our farm is well worth the visit.  Plan on taking time to walk through our woods & fields, tour the barn, and meet the animals.  

SORRY but we do not ship our meats.  All orders must be picked up at the farm.
