CIM/BEE PUPPIES - born 1/3/2004  updated 2/7/04
Five weeks old!  photos from 1/31-2/7/2004

Dash

Sweet & handsome, that's the Dash Man

Jet

Sweet, funny & a wee bit wicked

Mighty Mouse

Don't ask what it took to get this shot tonight!

Bruiser

One steady, handsome, sweet guy who bravely posed even though his butt had slipped off the box

SugarBear

We call her the Energizer Bunny - her mind just never stops working, but neither does her tongue or tail!

Mellow Mel

Mel's so mellow it's not hard to get him to pose - the hard part is catching him awake!

Solo

What a handsome, sweet boy

Woody

Despite repeated attempts to get a shot of him sitting, Woody insisted on looking like a mutant in every pose. So, here he is laying down and looking much cuter.

Coal

Since he was having a wild moment, Coal won the prize for "Can't Be Photographed Without Restraint" tonight

Kia

She and Bruiser look similar - thankfully, there's an indoor/outdoor plumbing hint as well as her white hind foot

Bee & Bruiser

Growing up doesn't mean foregoing the pleasures of a nap with Mom

More Toys for US?

Clockwise from lower left: Dash, SugarBear, Kia, Woody, Bruiser leaving & Jet in the middle

Dash & Mouse

Fierce little guys

Rub-A-Dub-Dub

Thanks for the grub!

Magnificent Seven

Any seven are magnificent; all ten are even better!

Kia with toy

Chewing anything is pure bliss

Kia & Mel

Sharing a bone

Mess O' Pups

No explanation needed (or possible)

Grandma & Dash

Grandma Otter enjoys a nap with grandson Dash at her side. A great mother in her own right, Otter is having a good time being a grandma.

Mouse & Toys

Mighty Mouse has a lovely, contemplative gaze as she gnaws on a toy.

First Bones

At about 4 - 4.5 weeks, we give the pups their first raw bones. Their intensity is a great reminder that these are indeed baby predators.

Solo Slipper Diving

These lion slippers amuse the pups in many ways. Here Solo demonstrates the joys of stuffing your head into the slipper.

Glimpse of the future

Every now & then, a pup strikes a pose that offers a glimpse into what they may be like as mature dogs - awesome

Mouse & Dash

Mouse & Dash warily share a bone

SugarBear & Solo

Week 5 is punctuated by yelps, growls, barks & more as the pups really practice being dogs

Buh-bye

Mouse thinks posing for the camera is a bore, and is shown leaving for more exciting places

Not again

Mouse seems to be eyeing me & the camera with a cynical look that asks, "Again?"

Puppies are delicious

This week, the pups have been learning the meaning of NO - reinforced gently by the older dogs giving them good closeups of their tonsils

Talk to the Paw

When not giving tonsil closeups, Mouse gets some instruction from Rain: "Talk to the paw!"

Wild child!

Coal has a wild moment attacking Bee's hind legs

Sleeping is GOOD!

Solo, out like a light! All the pups play hard but sleep equally hard, for which we are grateful.

NOW STARTING WEEK SIX!  New mug shots & casuals - updated 2/14
