Since November 2006, Suzanne has been quite busy
thanks to a major, multi-faceted project with Guiding Eyes for the Blind (GEB).
Working with the staff at GEB's Canine Devdelopment Center in Patterson
NY, Suzanne's Relationship Centered Training approach is being incorporated into
the Guiding Eyes puppy raising program.

Commitments to GEB have kept kept Suzanne's seminar
schedule very limited in 2007 and 2008.
2009 will see an equally limited schedule, so be sure to sign up early
for any seminar you want to attend. The seminars are scattered through major
regions of the US, so hopefully you'll find one near you.

OUR LITTERS - Puppies arrived April 5, 2008. Hawks Hunt's Rainy Day ("Rain") was been bred to GDB Kennedy in a cooperative breeding with Guiding Eyes for the Blind (GEB). Kennedy is an exceptionally stable dog with a tremendous production record as a sire of guide dogs. We are honored to have the opportunity to have Rain helping to keep high quality GSDs in guide dog programs. Two of her kids from the last litter (by GEB Bandit) were donated to guide schools (one stayed with GEB, another went to Holland) with a third pup having stud rights retained by GEB.
The Rain/Kennedy kids are now in their new homes - what great pups! One female, Spider, stayed here with us at Hawks Hunt. Dreamer was the GEB pick, and has gone to an experienced GEB puppy raiser in North Carolina. The others scattered to MA, CT, NJ and IL.
Rain's sister, Hikari (Hawks Hunt's Crowded House) was bred to GEB Bandit, and delivered 7 gorgeous pups on June 5. 4 F, 3 M. One B&T F, one B&T M, the rest sables. These are lovely pups, raised by my longtime colleague & fellow trainer Kathy Marr of Bedford VA, who is Hikari's owner. These pups were evaluated by Suzanne Clothier & Jane Russenberger of GEB. "Tigger" was chosen to be donated to a guide school in Spain, and her sister "Poppy" went to one of Suzanne's Belgian friends. International pups!
We plan a 2009 litter with Rain. To
approved homes only. Folks already on the waiting list. If interested, you must complete our Puppy Buyer's Questionnaire if you're
interested in a Hawks Hunt German Shepherd.
